Nike stock soars near all-time high on strength of 2nd quarter numbers

Seasonal sales may be lagging among its competitors, but Nike posted second-quarter figures Tuesday that defied the trend. Sales for the quarter that ended Nov. 30 were up 4 percent from the same period a year ago, to $7.7 billion, and the company said it expects continued growth the reminder of the fiscal year.
