(Telecompaper) Nokia announced that its public exchange offer for Alcatel-Lucent securities in France and the US has been settled. Nokia's 1.46 billion new shares have been entered into the Finnish trade register and the company is now included in the CAC 40 index. The total number of Nokia's shares now stands at 5.45 billion shares, with Nokia's share capital unchanged at EUR 245.9 million. Nokia expects to reopen the offers in France and the US on 14 January and to close on 3 February. Alcatel-Lucent's board has confirmed Philippe Camus as chairman and CEO as it was modified to reflect the company's ownership structure following the settlement of the offer on 7 January.
