(Telecompaper) Nokia has outlined plans to outsource its IT organisation, affecting around 1,120 employees. A total 820 employees with transfer with the IT operations to HCL Technologies and Tata Consultancy Services. Another 300 employees at the global IT organisation will be made redundant. The plan is part of the broader restructuring at Nokia aimed at lowering costs as the handset maker suffers a drop in sales. The majority of the employees affected by the IT outsourcing are based in Finland.
