(Telecompaper) Nokia Networks announced that it will sponsor research related to 5G network architecture at the University of Kaiserslautern in Germany and work closely with the university to study the changes that are required in the telco architecture in future. A new network architecture is required to manage complex multi-layer and multi-technology networks, and to build in flexibility even for applications that are yet to be envisioned.
