Lookers plc, which acquired Benfield in an A 87.5m deal, is among to recognise the value of customer satisfaction It is the sort of deal most business owners can only dream of: an 87m cash offer to buy their company. Benfield Motors has, for more than half a century, been a stalwart of the North East business community, a firm that provides thousands of jobs, turns over hundreds of millions of pounds and was still owned by the family which started it in the 1950s.
