O2 Germany boosts postpaid mobile users to over 10 million

(Telecompaper) Telefonica Germany has reported revenue of EUR 5.21 billion for 2012, up 3.5 percent from EUR 5.03 billion in 2011, with Q4 revenue up 0.9 percent to EUR 1.34 billion, from 1.33 billion. Mobile service revenue was up 7 percent for the year to EUR 3.15 billion, from EUR 2.95 billion, and up 3.6 percent for Q4 to EUR 793 million, from EUR 765 million a year earlier. OIBDA was up 11.3 percent in 2012 to EUR 1.28 billion, from EUR 1.15 billion, and up 8.5 percent in Q4 to EUR 343 million, from EUR 316 million. The total number of accesses (mobile, fixed network, wholesale) increased 3.6 percent year-on-year in Q4 to reach 25.4 million at end-2012. New contract customers were the main contributing factor to the number of customer accesses, which rose by 219,500 in Q4.
