(Telecompaper) The board of Austrian state holding company OIAG has given the management of Telekom Austria a mandate to negotiate a syndicate agreement between OIAG and America Movil. OIAG is currently Telekom Austria's largest shareholder. It has set some conditions for reaching an agreement, including securing the long-term future of Telekom Austria's headquarters in Austria as well as effective protection against dilution of its equity stake below 25 percent plus one share. America Movil holds 26.8 percent of the operator's shares.
