Oi CEO Zeinal Bava resigns

(Telecompaper) Brazilian telecommunications operator Oi has announced that its CEO Zeinal Bava has resigned from the company with immediate effect. He will be temporarily replaced by CFO Bayard Gontijo until the board of directors appoints a replacement. No details were mentioned of the reason for Bava's resignation. Bava joined Oi in June 2013 to oversee the merger with Portugal Telecom.
