Oil price tumble factor in Actuant Corp.'s quarter...

The Actuant Corporation of Menomonee Falls reported a loss of almost $65 million in its fiscal second quarter, or $1.05 per share. Included in that figure was an $85 million pre-tax charge for Actuant's oil and gas business -- namely a weakening of its Viking and Cortland branches, which make cables and rent equipment used for offshore oil drilling.
