XCalibur1840 can be built to support Freescale™ Power Architecture e6500-based QorIQ™ T4240 or T4160 communications processors, which combine multiple 1.8 GHz dual-threaded cores and networking capabilities with next-generation AltiVec single-instruction multiple-data (SIMD) engine. This provides processing for both control and data plane tasks from single SoC. Along with several I/O interfaces, module supports 2 XMC or PMC modules and up to 24 GB DDR3 ECC SDRAM across 3 channels.
