(Telecompaper) Orange France has launched its LTE network in 15 metropolitan areas made up of 50 municipalities. By the end of the year, Paris and its inner suburbs will be covered by LTE. The operator aims to have 1 million LTE users by December, said Orange France CEO Delphine Ernotte-Cunci. As a "welcome offer" consumers pay an extra EUR 1 month to upgrade from their 3G plan to LTE through the rest of the year. The differential will rise to EUR 10 a month, from the start of 2014, when coverage will be available throughout the country.
