(Telecompaper) Orange has entered into a firm agreement to acquire Cellcom Telecommunications through Orange Cote d'Ivoire. The acquisition is part of Orange's international development strategy, seeking to accelerate growth by entering new emerging markets with high potential. Cellcom's founders and employees will remain involved in the business to ensure a smooth integration, support performance and continue long-standing relations with the government. A reinforced presence in Africa is a strategic priority for the group.
