Origin Energy shares rise as start-up nears of $24.7b Australia Pacific LNG project

Origin Energy has given its firmest signal yet that the start-up of its $24.7 billion Australia Pacific liquefied natural gas project in Queensland is just around the corner, sending its share price up as much as 4 per cent. The APLNG venture led by Origin and its US partner ConocoPhillips on Tuesday started loading refrigerants necessary for the start-up onto the plant site at Curtis Island in Gladstone, marketing a key milestone in the process.
