Ottawa to set aside spectrum for small wireless players in a special auction

The Globe and Mail is reporting that Ottawa will offer coveted chunks of public airwaves ahead of schedule to small wireless carriers in hopes they will merge and provide more competition for Canada's three biggest carriers.
