Our Telekom, O3b reach Solomon Islands trunking deal

(Telecompaper) Satellite services provider O3b Networks has announced a contract to deliver trunking services to Solomon Telekom Company Limited, trading as Our Telekom. As part of the deal, Our Telekom will expand its network to significantly increase bandwidth and improve the speed and quality of service for business and residential customers in Honiara, and, over time, for the Outer Islands as well. The increased bandwidth also enables distance education, telemedicine, live ultra HD video streaming, high-speed downloads and clear voice calls, said O3b.
