PTA receives 4 applications for spectrum auction

(Telecompaper) Pakistan's communications regulator has received four applications for the spectrum auction on 23 April. The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) received applications from local operators China Mobile (Zong), UFone, Mobilink, and Telenor Pakistan. Warid Telecom did not put in an application. The regulator confirmed that as the demand is higher than the supply, the allocation of spectrum will happen through an auction process.
