Parker Drilling lays off 35 in New Iberia

The company had filed a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act notice Feb. 24 that was received at the state LWC office March 2. The notice indicated that Houston-based Parker intended to lay off between 50 and 297 employees between March 4-18. The latter date passed without action, but 35 layoffs were made the next day.
