Patriot Coal President and CEO Hatfield resigns

Patriot Coal, which operates in the Appalachian coal region, said Friday that President and CEO Bennett K. Hatfield has resigned. The company has named Robert W. Bennett, who currently serves as senior vice president and chief marketing officer, as Hatfield's successor.
