While providing intrusion detection, FiberPatrol FP1400 uses algorithm-based distributed sensing, coupled with frequency filtering, to reject environmental sources of nuisance and false alarms. Unit supports 8–28 software-configurable, cut-immune virtual detection zones; no field infrastructure is required other than fiber-optic cable. Along with simultaneous alarm detection on all zones, features include multiple I/O options, camera interface, and EMI/RFI and lightning immunity.
