Pairing X8000™ screw encapsulation with X800® barrel inlay, Plasticizing Unit Package provides abrasion resistance for heavily filled molding and extrusion compounds. Nickel-based alloy with high tungsten carbide content is applied to entire screw geometry in high-velocity oxy-fuel coating process. Alloy is then fused to parent metal of screw in 2-stop method that forms metallurgical bond. Also nickel-based alloy with tungsten carbide, inlay provides wear, abrasion, and corrosion resistance.
