Poland deactivates estimated 12 million unregistered SIMs

(Telecompaper) Up to 12 million SIM cards may have been disabled in Poland for failing to register, estimates Rzeczpospolita. The regulator UKE told the daily that according to data submitted by operators, 68.7 percent pre-paid SIM cards had been registered by the deadline of 01 February for registering pre-paid SIM cards under anti-terrorism legislation in Poland.
