Police investigate swastika etched at Lawrence LIRR station

Metropolitan Transportation Authority police are investigating after a swastika was found etched into a rain shelter at the Long Island Rail Road station in Lawrence on Monday, an LIRR spokesman said. Salvatore Arena said MTA police were at the scene Monday and removed the hate symbol from the rain shelter at the train's platform.
