(Telecompaper) In 2013, the value of the telecommunications market in Poland was PLN 44.7 billion, down by 4 percent compared with 2012, reports Media2.pl. Based on the report 'Telecommunications Market in Poland 2014' by PMR, a decrease is also expected this year, but a slighter one. The mobile market had a significant share in the decrease. Together with a double-digit fall in fixed telephony, where services based on VoIP and WLL could not offset the fall in revenues from traditional voice services based on PSTN, a shrinkage of the whole market was inevitable. Data transmission, internet access and leased lines (DLISP) segments, which were recently verging on growth, were not able to offset the decrease, either.
