National Public Radio: Chinese typically ring in the Lunar New Year with a barrage of fireworks. But after severe air pollution choked scores of cities last year, firework sales are down, according to state media. In Shanghai, young people say the smog has changed their minds about the ancient tradition and they won't be lighting off fireworks this year to spare the air.
