Search team aboard USNS Apache found wreckage of one vessel believed to be cargo ship El Faro, which went missing October 1 during Hurricane Joaquin. Towed by Apache, Orion side-scanning sonar system detected images of said vessel at 1:36 pm ET on October 31 during fifth of 13 planned search line surveys. To confirm this finding, specialists on Apache will use CURV 21, deep ocean remotely operated vehicle, to survey wreckage as soon as November 1.
