Post oil: Why are we maintaining a vigil at TD Bank in Brattleboro/

Since the middle of November, there has been a group of us from the Climate Change Cafe conducting a peaceful vigil in front of the Brattleboro branch of the TD Bank every Friday from noon to 1 p.m. Our purpose in doing so is to help inform our community of the significant investment that the TD Bank Group - a giant global network of financial institutions owned by the Toronto-Dominion Bank - has in the extraction and transportation of fossil fuels, and in particular, tar sands.
