In a recent public hearing, representatives of Earthcon, Stanley Consultants and the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality provided an overview of their findings during the first phase. The environmental assessment was made possible through a $350,000 federal Brownfields grant awarded to the county and city of Aberdeen last year.
