Reducing hands-on time for delivering test results, cobas p 480 automates uncapping and recapping of primary sample vials used for liquid-based cytology (LBC) and molecular assays run on cobas® 4800 System. Preprocessing steps, including vial cap removal, vortexing, and barcode quality checks, are automated, reducing risk of sample mix-up, cross contamination, and user error. Also, primary vials can be loaded directly onto cobas® 4800 System without need to aliquot into secondary vial.
