Proposed standard ASTM WK41157, Specification for Bath Mats, will provide means to evaluate specific performance characteristics of bath mats intended for use in residential and institutional environments. According to ASTM member Kathleen Huddy, this standard will cover all practical aspects of bath mat production, from tuft bind to rug back staining, to help manufacturers create quality consumer products. Information will also cover warning label on proper bath mat use.
