Operating up to +105°C, VCNL4020X01 combines IR emitter, photo-pin-diode for proximity, ambient light detector, signal processing IC, and 16-bit ADC in 4.8 x 2.3 x 0.8 mm LLP. Fully integrated 3-in-1 sensor, able to function at any depth or air gap below glass window, has interrupt function, supports I²C bus communication interface, and is compatible with lead Pb-free soldering. Programmable LED drive current from 10–200 mA in 10 mA steps allows detection distances up to 200 mm.
