Rackspace has joined the OpenPower consortium

Rackspace has joined the OpenPower Foundation, a consortium of groups dedicated to opening access to the lowest-level parts of servers, including chips, buses, boards and firmware. With the addition of Rackspace , the San Antonio-based cloud computing company, there are now 80 members of OpenPower including Google , IBM , Canonical, Nvidia, Samsung and Mellanox.
