Norfolk Southern Corp. has announced plans to cut 160 to 170 jobs by the end of the year at its Triple Crown Services subsidiary in Fort Wayne. The Journal Gazette reports a notice the company filed with the state says the Fort Wayne jobs are among 193 the railroad plans to eliminate at the subsidiary in Indiana and other states on or after Nov. 17. Triple Crown President Jim Newton said Friday that the company uses specialized equipment called the RoadRailer to ship freight for customers.
