Reddit announces resignation of CEO, return of co-founder

(Telecompaper) Reddit has announced the resignation of CEO Yishan Wong and the return of co-founder Alexis Ohanian as full-time executive chairman, the company said in a blog by Ohanian. Ellen Pao will step in as interim CEO. Meanwhile. Dan McComas and his team are moving to San Francisco to unite with the rest of the Reddit team, after joining the company three years ago via the Redditgifts acquisition. McComas will become SVP of Product. A report by Reuters noted a blog post by Reddit investor Sam Altman, saying that Wong resigned last week following a disagreement with the board over a new office plan.
