Sharing money generated or saved by motor carriers with their telematics providers is being viewed as the "next business model" for the trucking industry. The telematics business model in the trucking industry is evolving quickly to one where motor carriers may share a percentage of monies generated or saved via telematics with their systems providers especially if those providers are truck OEMs.
