Calling it a "forest for the future," Rivers and Area Community Foundation chair Donna Morken was overjoyed at the mass planting of 93,000 tree seedlings through a partnership with Canadian National Railway and Tree Canada. Rivers Collegiate Grade 11 student Connor English helps younger students Liam Fobes, Jack Oaken and Gavin Pomeroy plant their white spruce trees during the Wetland Centre of Excellence celebration.
