Roads, rails into New York quiet as pope comes to town

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey says traffic across the agency's tunnels and bridges into the city between 6 a.m. and noon Friday was 14 percent lighter than usual for a Friday in September. New Jersey Transit says rail ridership was down about 50 percent and bus ridership down about 25 to 30 percent Friday morning.
