City Nissan Inc., which operates as Ross Nissan in El Monte, has agreed to settle allegations that it ran deceptive advertising, misrepresented leasing information and violated the Truth in Lending and Consumer Leasing acts. A complaint outlining the alleged violations was published last week by the Federal Trade Commission as part of “Operation Ruse Control,” a nationwide and cross-border crackdown to protect consumers when buying or leasing a car.
