Ryder Adds More Than 1,000 Trucks with Automated Transmissions to Rental Fleet

Truck leasing and rental provider Ryder System Inc. said it is upgrading its North American rental fleet with more than 1,000 trucks equipped with automated manual transmissions. The automated transmissions help customers improve fuel economy while enhancing the driver experience with smoother gear shifts, advanced safety features and a variety of driving modes for different terrains and applications, Ryder said.
