(Telecompaper) Samsung has announced the launch of its Samsung Pay m-payment service in Spain, confirming earlier reports. Spain becomes the first European country to accept the service, which debuted in South Korea and the US last year. Samsung subsequently revealed plans to roll out Samsung Pay in four to seven European markets, including the UK, over the next year, as well as Australia, Brazil, Canada and Singapore. In a statement, the company said the Spanish service will be supported by CaixaBank and imaginBank at launch, with Banco Sabadell and Abanca also about to join.
