Samsung to buy mobile wallet startup LoopPay

LoopPay , a Burlington-based mobile payments startup that competes with Apple Pay, will be acquired by South Korea-based multinational conglomerate Samsung Electronics Co. The maker of mobile wallet technology - that works at 90 percent of retailers around the globe - was backed by at least $13 million in investor funding.
