But ADEQ did not require the school until less than one month ago to provide written notice to families of the students. On Feb. 11, ADEQ instructed Cottonwood-Oak Creek School District to send out public notice to the affected families about the 2013 report "and to continue testing, which has always been done on a routine basis," stated Cottonwood-Oak Creek School District Superintendent Barbara U'Ren in a letter sent on Feb. 26 to Oak Creek families.
