In another example of Arizona's shrinking semiconductor sector, part of a former computer chip plant property in Scottsdale is slated to become a city water treatment and flood control facility. The Scottsdale City Council will consider a proposal Tuesday to buy approximately five acres of land at the former Microsemi semiconductor plant at Pima and Thomas roads in Scottsdale.
