EPA and Department of Justice announced that Ash Grove Cement Company has agreed to pay $2.5 million penalty and invest approximately $30 million in pollution control technology at its 9 Portland cement manufacturing plants to resolve alleged violations of the Clean Air Act. Agreement will reduce more than 17,000 tons of harmful NOx and SO2 pollution each year across plants.
