Shareholders and the Justice Department OK Harris-Exelis merger - no IP required

The Harris Corp. acquisition of Exelis Inc. will probably close May 29, thanks to approval of the union from both shareholders and the Justice Department. More than 97 percent of the shares voting at the special meeting Friday were in favor of the deal, representing more than 79 percent of all outstanding shares of McLean-based Exelis .
