Debate raged in the House of Representatives recently when that chamber passed a farm bill that decoupled food stamps from farm programs. This week’s online poll question is: “Should food stamps be part of the farm bill?” Be sure to leave your thoughts in the comments section after voting. Yes. Food assistance programs and agriculture are linked. Yes. Food programs must be retained to get urban representatives to approve the farm bill. No. Separating the two programs will make it easier to administer farm programs. Dont know.
