The money will help BioSTL promote regional collaboration and increase global awareness about St. Louis' strengths in bioscience, engaging women and minorities to consider opportunities in bioscience and increasing the availability of investment capital for St. Louis startups. BioSTL has in the past year successfully lured three Israeli biotech companies to St. Louis through a $300,000 campaign called the St. Louis-Israel Innovation Connection .
