Skechers Shares Drops As Back-To-School Season Wraps

Sterne Agee, citing SportScanInfo data, said last week's sales for the casual and athletic shoemaker rose just 13.3% from a year earlier, far weaker than the 37.3% rise in the prior eight weeks. But Sterne Agee analyst Sam Poser said it's a temporary blip for Skechers, resulting from an abrupt end to hot back-to-school season sales: "Wind-down of back to school is not a reason to worry."
