Snapchat starts charging for message replays

2015-09-16 09:29:00| Telecompaper Headlines

(Telecompaper) Messaging app Snapchat has introduced a new paid service for users to recover disappearing messages. The company first introduced its Replay service almost two years ago, allowing users to see again messages that have been deleted. Replay is limited to one message per day per user. The company is now offering access to more messages over Replay, at a cost of three messages for USD 0.99. Replay can still only be used once for each message over Snapchat. The company also announced the new Lenses feature. This adds animations and effects to selfie photos; a gallery of options is displayed below the on-screen image to add before taking the picture.
