Snow arrives in North Jersey on Thanksgiving getaway day

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm advisory for the area through 1 a.m. Snow accumulations of up to five inches - up to 10 north of Interstate 287 -- can be expected as well as dangerous roadways and periods of low visibility. United and other airlines on Tuesday began cancelling flights or encouraging travelers to change their travel dates.
