Designed for situational awareness radar sensors, Constant False Alarm Rate IP identifies relevant objects or targets from background clutter of radar image and tags them for further processing. Hardware-accelerated device is matched to pipelined FFT IP core and, operating on continuous data at one bin per clock cycle, can calculate and search over 200,000 Fourier Transforms/sec. Applications include electronic stability control systems, pre-crash impact mitigation, and lane departure detection.
